Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop – New Catalogue

Welcome to your next stop on the Paper Adventures blog hop. If you’re hopping along then you’ve come here from Nicole’s blog. On this stop I have more mermaids for you.

This time of the year sees a run of birthdays and parties among my daughter’s friends. So I’ve had plenty of excuses to make cute birthday cards.

At Kelly’s catalogue launch event last week I got to play with lots of new goodies, including the Magical Mermaid set.

Lots of people were very excited about this set when they saw it in the new catalogue but it wasn’t on my list. How many mermaid cards am I going to make, really? But when I bought a cute mermaid doll as a present for an upcoming party I thought I’d have to make at least one mermaid card. Having had a play with it though it is DEFINITELY on the list now. That mermaid is just beautiful and is so much fun to colour. Plus it has some really lovely background stamps and I can see myself getting lots of use form the “have a magical birthday” sentiment.

The background/border stamp of sand and shells is just gorgeous, as are the bubbles.

Peeking out from behind the mermaid here is a piece of the gorgeous new Foil Frenzy DSP, which is super shiny and has a lovely texture.

Here’s the mermaid lady who inspired the colours of the card, all wrapped up for the upcoming party.

For another birthday this month I used one of my favourite carrying over sets Fairy Celebration to make a similarly matching card for a fairy doll.

Heather was pretty pleased to be heading off to yet another party.

Next stop on our team blog hop is the lovely Sheila who always makes such beautiful cards. Thanks for stopping by and keep on hopping along!
