On Stage November 2017 Melbourne Swaps

Well, I’m back from an amazing weekend away with my bestest stampin’ buddies, the highlight of which was On Stage, the bi-annual gathering of Stampin Up!® Demonstrators.

On Stage is a day of mindblowing creative inspiration, fun and laughter, a few teary moments, and the making of new friends. There’s nothing quite like being in a room full of people who have the same passion as you do, whatever that is.

Swapping is one of the most fun parts of these events. I’ve already shared my team swaps and roomie swaps in two previous posts, but these were my “swap swaps” as I kept referring to them as.

I used an absolute favourite of mine – the Coffee Cafe bundle – and the Christmas Around the World DSP to make two slight variations of the same card.

I loved that the Holiday Catalogue had a stamp set that co-ordinated with the Coffee Cafe suite, Merry Cafe. It’s super cute with some more fun coffee elements but also a range of holiday sentiments. And I thought the green heart pattern from the Coffee Break DSP could easily double as a Christmas paper.

People make all sorts of wonderful creations for swaps, both card fronts, full cards, and 3D items. I managed to make 24 of these cards before I left for On Stage. I would have loved to make more, I was done swapping pretty quickly!! But between life and children and all that stuff 24 was all I managed.

It’s so much fun to look through your swaps after the event and see what people have come up with. There’s also a display board at the event where people put a sample of their creations up as well. It’s like a 3-dimensional real-life Pinterest feed!

I’m going to share some more fun from On Stage now that the restrictions on doing so are lifted, as soon as I have time to sit down and go through all my photos and collections from the event. There was so much inspiration and information it is a bit of a brain explosion! The good kind, of course.
